Yikes, almost missed it!

Almost missed the month of February completely! We've been up to a little bit of new stuff lately. Been painting the house (finally) and slurged and got some new furniture and a larger TV. All those months of crazy work hours have paid off with a new family room to enjoy when I'm not at work. Most people laugh when I tell them we'd been watching TV on a 19"er. Got a great deal on a flat-panel LCD with my additional employee discount the weekend of the Superbowl, so we splurged on it and went with plan 2 for the family room. Re-oriented the room with new semi-built in bookcases, new couch and loveseat, new tables and a throw rug. Pretty much the only old things still in there are the secretary desk, 2 chairs, our books and my antique toys. But we are loving it!!

This past weekend was the annual park district daddy-daughter ball. Patrick and the girl went for their 9th straight year. Next year will be the last year she can go. I told Patrick he should tell them that they've been going for 9 years straight. I bet that's some kind of record. I was kind of surprised that she still wanted to go, but she did and she said she was the biggest kid there. I'm including her pic this year and one from a previous year.

At work #1 I think they have finally finalized the teacher's contract and things are settling down. Course, now there is the new support staff union forming which I will be a part of. That should be interesting. Work #2 seems to have finally figured out my availability. I've been scheduled correctly for 3 weeks now. Work #3 is going along. Been quoting lots of jobs, getting some of them, building up some stock for some new ideas I want to launch at some point. I'm still kind of toying with the idea of running for trustee. I'm just not sure the timing is right at the moment.

Anywho, Happy last day of February. Spring, here we come.
