November Has Come and Gone

Wow. Almost missed the whole month of November. And what a month it's been. Weather has been warm and freezing, we've had sun, rain, and snow, 2 birthdays, 1 play, 1 job application, 1 case of Pityriasis Rosea (don't even ask), and, Thanksgiving, of course.

I'll make this a long post since it is the only one for November, and I'm starting it out with some nice fall pics, back when the weather was warm.

These first three are from when we had an impromptu afternoon playing at a nearby park. I was on assignment taking pics of the schools in the district.
The girl and boy in a cool tree and my arch nemesis....the squirrel.

From there we had Halloween, which technically is in October, but since it is the last day, and it is November 29th, I'm including it now. We had two days of Trick or Treating...one up here during the weekend, and one down at my sister's house with the cousins.

I went as a deviled egg in case you are having trouble figuring it out. The boy was a vampire and girl was a witch in a self-designed costume. She did a very nice job with the help of Granny. And not to be left out of the fun, the boy's ox friend "Billy Goat Sam" wanted to have a costime too so he went as a lion.

Midway through the month we had the girl's 5th park district play. Wonderland - the story of a girl named Alice. The girl was a red pawn and squire. It was a very large production but she had a blast as usual. This time she had some school friends in the cast with her including her buddies the "twinsies".

After the play we had birthday week...kids and Patrick were home all week long. I had two institute days where we taught the secretaries some classes, and worked at the other place the rest of the time. I did get 1 whole day off though on Thanksgiving day - girl's birthday. Here are some shots from earlier in the day before we left for Granny's turkey festivities.
